Based on a comparative analysis of Yakut epic mythology with the mythologies of other peoples, the monograph examines the concepts, cults, symbols, rituals, and customs of Tengrism. Assumptions about the original place of its appearance and spread as one of the world's protoreligies have been made and substantiated. Tengrianism in genesis and evolution is considered as a religious phenomenon of an open universal worldview – Tengrianism. The book is intended for Tengri scholars, folklorists, ethnographers, researchers of ancient religions and all those who are interested in the traditional cultures of the peoples of Eurasia.
