The basic reason for distinguishing the ten sangas of samas from the first sangas of the samas temple in Sippar-Ja_rurum, is that the latter form an uninterrupted family line from the first to the last one. Although there are chronological gaps between the successive sangas of this family, the line was never interrupted, as is shown in many instances when a son uses his father's seal to stress the continuity. This chapter gives an overview of the overlaps. From Abi-esuh on, the title is reserved for the first sanga of samas in Sippar-Ja_rurum only, the second one now is 'sanga Aja'. The title borne by two of them provides the answer to how the overlaps can be resolved. They were sanga utu e.di.kud.da, sanga of samas of the Edikuda. The chapter discusses the ten sangas of samas of the Edikuda and the seals they use. Keywords: Abi-esuh; Edikuda temple; sanga Aja’; sanga of samas; Sippar-Amnānum; Sippar-Ja_rūrum
