This book examines the numismatic collections preserved in the Museum of Macedonia, focusing on the coins minted in Skopje and Kratovo during the Ottoman period. The research highlights the cultural and historical significance of these coins and fills gaps in the written historical records. Through interdisciplinary analyses, it emphasizes the importance of preserving and studying numismatic materials. While these coins reflect the role of Macedonia in the early Ottoman period, they are also important for understanding the broader socio-economic and political context of the Balkans. As part of the Ottoman material culture and bearing universal value, this study provides a solid foundation for future historical and cultural research.
